Bring the thing you made.

pid1 is a curated shelf for small, well-made software. If yours is useful and cared for, it can sit here under your name.

A proper home

  • A page that explains it

Real screenshots, plain facts, and links back to your own site or repository. Nothing is invented to fill space.

  • Your name on it

Every app names the person who made it and the people who helped, each linked to a profile they control.

  • Free is the easy way in

Almost everything here is free to use, and that is where we are starting with other people's work. If you hope to charge one day, say so and we will work it out together.

How it gets listed

  1. Send it

From your account, with a link to the repository or a build and a few lines on what it does and who it is for.

  2. We try it

Someone on the team installs it and uses it. We choose what goes on the shelf rather than listing everything, so we look for things that are useful, finished enough to rely on, and careful with people's data.

  3. You hear back

Either way you get a plain answer. If it is a yes, we agree how you are credited, write the page with you, and list it. If it is not yet, we say what would change that.

Open-source projects are welcome, and so are browser pages and small tools. Listing here does not mean adopting our look or adding an account system to your app.

Have a public repository rather than an app? It can go on the Repos page, credited to the people who worked on it.
